Working paper

The working paper complements our 2015 report No Child Should Be Stateless by providing deeper analysis of the nationality laws of 45 European countries. It assesses these laws against international norms granting nationality to otherwise stateless children born on the territory, as contained in the 1961 UN Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness, the European Convention on Nationality and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
